Care Instructions
Your Next Edge Athletics holder is built to ride the fence season after season. A few simple habits will keep it looking sharp and holding strong — here's everything you need to know.
Every holder leaves our shop checked for fit, finish, and strength. Because each one is made to order from durable printed material, treating it right from day one is the easiest way to protect your investment — and keep your gear organized and off the ground.
Everyday handling
- Lift, don't drag. Pick your holder up by the frame rather than sliding it across rough surfaces like concrete or chain-link. Scraping can scuff the finish and wear down edges over time.
- Load it as designed. The holder is sized for standard bottles, gloves, helmets, bats, and sticks. Don't overload it with heavier equipment than it was designed for, and never use it as a step, seat, or climbing aid.
- Mount it securely. Hang the holder fully on a fence rail, hook, or rack so the weight rests evenly. A holder that's half-seated on a rail can twist or slip when you grab your gear.
Temperature & storage
- Avoid prolonged heat. Don't leave the holder sitting in direct sunlight for long stretches or inside a closed vehicle on a warm day. Sustained high heat can soften or warp printed material.
- Bring it indoors between seasons. When the season wraps up, wipe it down and store it in a garage, closet, or equipment room rather than leaving it on the fence year-round.
- Go easy in deep cold. Like most plastics, the material becomes less flexible in freezing temperatures. Handle it gently on frigid game days and avoid knocking it against hard surfaces.
Cleaning
- Keep it simple. Wipe the holder down with a soft cloth dampened with warm water and a drop of mild dish soap. That's all it takes to remove dirt, grass, and clay dust.
- No dishwashers or pressure washers. High heat and high-pressure water can damage the material and any applied customization. Hand cleaning only.
- Skip the harsh stuff. Avoid abrasive pads, solvents, acetone, bleach, and stronger household cleaners — they can dull the surface and fade printed names, numbers, and logos.
- Air dry. Let the holder dry on its own at room temperature. Don't speed things up with a hair dryer, heater, or other forced heat.
Maintenance & inspection
- Give it a quick once-over. Before heavy use, glance over the frame, hooks, and cradle for cracks, deep gouges, or loose fittings. Catching a small issue early keeps it from becoming a big one.
- Check hardware on fences. If you mount the holder with hooks, ties, or brackets, confirm they're snug at the start of each week so the holder never swings or drops mid-practice.
- Retire damaged holders. If a holder ever cracks through the frame, stop using it and reach out — we'd rather help you replace it than have it fail with your gear on the ground.
Good to know
- Custom finishes. Personalized names, numbers, and logos are applied to last through a full season of regular use. Treat the holder gently and the customization will stay crisp right alongside it.
- Not a toy. Keep the holder out of reach of small children, and don't let anyone hang or swing from it.
- Made for the sideline. The holder is designed for dugouts, fences, benches, and gear rooms — not for permanent outdoor installation or vehicle mounting.
